The garden and hall are used as an open-air Shakespearian theatre where the Stamford Shakespeare Company features a three-month season every summer. If it’s nice whether or you prefer the outdoors the Rutland Water is a reservoir found east of Oakham. The location features 3,100 acres of open country and a lake that is full of fish, and is a very popular spot for water sports like sailing and fishing. There is also a 25 mile track for cycling and walking.
