St. Michael's Cathedral is one of the best known land-marks in the Coventry area. This is an original 14th century cathedral, though much of it was largely destroyed by bombs during World War II. The cathedral is home to many pieces of beautiful art and is a great place to see when visiting the area. After you visit the cathedral you will be able to drive your car hire to your next vacation spot.

The Herbert Art Gallery is one of the major art galleries in the area and is located about in the city centre. The Herbert Art Gallery is a home to creative media studios, an arts information centre and a history centre for the city's archives. This a great place to learn all about the city of Coventry.

Stratford the birthplace of Shakespeare is also a nearby historical place to visit. John Shakespeare, his father, married Mary Arden, the daughter of Robert Arden, a farmer from the nearby village of Wilmcote. In 1556 John bought the main part of the house in Henley Street which is now known as the 'Birthplace' and their family, including William, grew up there. There is also an excellent shopping centre with the picturesque River Avon running through town.
